Hi Volker, Ah yes i remember reading some thing about the gain mod...ill have a look through.. as far as oscillation, none what so ever, its clean right up to +22dB, at which point there after it starts to distort and no more level can be had.. which by the way behaves just like my other la2a.. nois...

hi all, well its on an i'm alive...ha ha.. its working as an amplifier just fine, one problem so far though, i have HUGE amounts of gain!!!! and its all in the first 5mm of knob travel!! is this some thing to do with no T4b? cant see why it would be though, any ideas would be most welcome, of course...

can i test the unit with out the T4b's in it? looking at the diagram i can see no reason why not, am i correct on this?

ah! but i could, could i not? just add a small 240 primary / 18v secondry transformer? to power the 7812 circuit?

my design for the front panel is all sub-miniture toggle switches, i dont want to use the large retro ones that one would normally use for 240v.

So i was just thinking really...and engaged my mouth before brain...again..

oh ofcourse its 9 in! ha ha nothing but a mirricale wontl get me 12v.. yes you need 3v drop i think..

what you must think of me...mmmm ok ill have find a 5v relay that can carry enough current.

I should be able to drop in a 7812 instead of the 7805 right?

Im thinking of using a relay to switch the mains so i dont have to drag it across to the front panel, possibly.

Hi All, (my first post here) Re the 2LA2, Meter switch - GR / Output +4, on the PCB labelled GAIN RED its has a 2 contact plug, but on the circuit diagram shows a double pole switch, how are you doing this with only two contacts? Is there a PCB Layout Drawing with the PCB tracks drawn? all the best ...
